The file upload don't work for me - I tried to upload a DOC into a project and another one in tasks but it didn't work properly. The message is: "Upload Error". What's going on?
I will be revising the file upload code today but if you have 10 minutes free please try the following two tests so that i could pinpoint and replicate the bug you are seeing.
1) Try uploading a different file, a jpeg for example (try to have it less then 1m). This is to determine if that specific file is causing a problem
2) Try disabling javascript in the browser then go to the files section and try uploading a file. This is to determine if the problem is in the javascript/flash upload code or server side code.
Mine is 10,1,53,64 (latest) and it works. See if the upgrade of the flash player would help fix this issue.
b) If the above does not work it might be due to a proxy server on your side, a packet filtering software (antivirus), too tight security rules on our server that does not allow slightly malformed posts (that flash is sending). So if a) does not work we will try a different setting on our server
Can you please test if this error pops up for a specific file each time or is it completely random (meaning sometimes you can upload a file and sometimes the upload of the same file fails)
I am interested to see if you get an upload error on both sites (in which case there is something particular to your setup, some proxy or antivirus) or is this an issue just on paymo (in which case there is something wrong with my implementation)
No problem using either of these methods using the stock images in XP. I'm seeing it ONLY when i try upload images/documents associated with a task in a task list i've set my team.
Task might say - create something using this pdf as a guide......i load up the pdf and it fails - randomly. it seems to behave best when i've set the task then go back and edit then add files using this method - see screenshot.
No we didn't but mostly because we could nor replicate it but your feed back and Matt's narrow it down. We will try to see the difference between adding a file to a task and adding a file directly to the project.
